Itinerary
Arrival at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be received by our company representative, and transfer will be ready to your city hotel. Depending on your arrival time, a Nairobi city tour can be organized, where you will have an opportunity to visit the Central Business Centre, Parliament buildings, Conference Centre (KICC) and many mordent and historical buildings, you will also visit National Museum of Kenya and famous Snake Park. Overnight at your hotel.
After a hearty breakfast depart for Nanyuki to arrive at Ol Pejeta conservancy on the slopes of Mount Kenya in time for lunch. Afternoon game-viewing drive including a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary. Overnight at your camp/lodge.
After breakfast depart for Samburu National Reserve to arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon head out for a game drive in this stark countryside which is an amazing sanctuary for the “Special Five”: Grevy's zebra, long-necked gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich and Beisa oryx and other wildlife. Return to your camp / lodge for dinner and overnight.
Enjoy a full day discovering this beautiful reserve of the special northern wildlife that freely traverse through the three reserves. The Buffalo Spring is south of Samburu national reserve being divided by the river Ewaso Nyiro. The wildlife at the reserve is the reticulated giraffe, the Grevy’s zebras and African bush elephant, Oryx, crocodiles and the hippos. The reserve also has huge numbers of special bird species like Somali ostrich and the Somali ostrich special kind birds. Enjoy game drives with packed lunch, you will have a brief stop at the buffalo springs and a have deep swim before heading back to your camp / lodge for dinner and overnight.
Early morning game and scenery viewing drive as you exit the Samburu. There shall be a stop to view the Thompson falls at Nyahururu. Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, a birdlife heaven, at the floor of the Great Rift Valley.
Due to some progressive natural factors like increasing water levels, the flamingo numbers have been reducing but the park itself remains stunning – one of Kenya’s finest. Great rocky escarpments tower over acacia forest, waterfalls, wooded hills and euphorbia trees dot the lake.
The few quantities of flamingos are accompanied by other birdlife – pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks as well as herons and eagles. The scene here is bountiful, busy and full of color. But that’s only the beginning of what this special park has to offer because the wildlife viewing here is easy and accessible. Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe along with white rhino, especially along the lakeshore.
The park is also sanctuary to one of Kenya’s largest populations of black rhino. Dinner and overnight at the lodge / camp.
Enjoy the day in this Park which has a fantastic array of bird life. You are likely to spot rhinos and the rare Rothschild’s giraffes. A visit to the baboon cliff offers a scenic panorama of the lake below, surrounded by a vast tract of euphorbia and acacia forest. Morning and afternoon game viewing drives. An early bird and game viewing drive at the Lake Nakuru National Park. Proceed to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive Masai Mara in time for an afternoon game viewing drive. Return to the camp / lodge for dinner and overnight.
Early breakfast is followed by an exciting full morning's game-viewing drive including a visit to Mara River to view the hippos at the hippo pool. A picnic lunch is followed by an afternoon game-viewing drive. Optional visit to a Masai Village to learn about the cultures and traditions of the Maasai people. Return to the camp / lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, check-out and depart the Masai Mara for Nairobi to arrive in the late afternoon.
