Day 1: Nairobi to Naivasha
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by our airport representatives who will brief you on
your safari and begin your journey to Naivasha. Depending on the time of arrival you will get to
Naivasha in time for lunch. The rest of the day will be spent at leisure enjoy views of Lake
Naivasha and activities within the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Naivasha: Crescent Island Game Sanctuary
After breakfast depart for a tour to Crescent Island Game Sanctuary which boast of abundant
wildlife and bird life, enjoy a guided walk safari where you have a close encounter with the wild
animals and birds. Return to the lodge for lunch. The rest of the afternoon will be spent at
leisure as you prepare for the safari ahead. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, check-out and depart for Masai
Mara. You will then drive through Narok, a Masai town, and arrive at your camp in the Mara in
time for lunch. After lunch, you will have a late afternoon game drive until sunset. Return to the
camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4-6: Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, have a full day game drive, with packed lunch provided. The reserve is well
known for its black- maned lion, as well as its abundant resident wildlife and its one of the few
places where it’s possible to see the big five during a morning’s game drive. Many of the
cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under one’s vehicle and several even
climb onto the roof to get better view of prospective prey.
For the bird enthusiast, almost 500 species have been recorded, among these 16 species of
eagle, plus many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks 4 of bustard
(including the Kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sun birds. Return
to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Masai Mara National Reserve to Nakuru
Have an early morning breakfast at the hotel, check- out and depart for Nakuru, enjoy a game
drive en-route. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a
game drive, you will enjoy beautiful sights of Lake Nakuru filled with pink coloured flamingos
and also view animals like zebras, giraffes and many more. After the game drive you will drive
back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Nakuru to Samburu National Reserve
Depart Nakuru after breakfast. Proceed to Samburu Game Reserve on the fringes of the semiarid northern frontier district of Kenya. Have a brief stopover at the Thomson falls and have
lunch. The scenic Nakuru – Nyahururu road passes through the hub of Kenya’s food basked and
an insight of the living situation of the local population is visible.
Arrive in Samburu in the late afternoon. Game viewing en-route to your lodge for check- in,
dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 8: Samburu National Reserve
After an early morning breakfast, you will be driven to Ewaso Nyiro River which runs around
the southern boundary and is home to crocodiles and hippos with the many animals visiting to
drink during the heat of the day. Afterwards you will head to Shaba National Reserve which is
known for its diverse flora and game species such as Masai Giraffe, lions, klipspringer, hyrax,
Beisa oryx, greater and lesser kudus.
The reserve is home to rear species that include the reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich and the
endangered Grevy’s Zebra. Return to the lodge for lunch, In the afternoon head out to Buffalo
Springs National Reserve to watch over 450 species of birds, wildlife and vegetation. Dinner and
overnight at the lodge.
Day 9: Samburu National Reserve to Aberdare National Park
You will have breakfast and thereafter depart for Aberdare National Park arriving in good time
for lunch at Aberdare Country Club the base hotel for The Ark Lodge. After lunch you will be
transferred to The Ark for game viewing and overnight with the lodge vehicle.
In the afternoon, you will have time at leisure game viewing from the balcony of the lodge for
the animals that comes around the waterholes until evening.
Note- you only need a soft bag with overnight essential. The other bags will be left at the
Aberdare Country Club. You will also say goodbye to your guide since you will not be seeing
them until next morning as the lodge driver guides take charge.
Day 10: Aberdare National Park
You will have morning tea at 0630hrs before being transferred to the base hotel for breakfast
and thereafter connect with your driver guide for game drives at Aberdare National Park. After
the game drive have lunch at the base hotel before being transferred to the Ark for dinner and
overnight.
Day 11: Amboseli National Park to Nairobi
Have an early morning breakfast at the hotel, check-out and depart to Nairobi. Upon arrival at
Nairobi you will dropped off at the airport for your flight back home
